Sub Floors Down & Beams Up
After a week on the tools we managed to replace the rotten bearers, add new joists, lay 100mm of insulation, then drop down 24mm ply sub floors. We now have a solid ground floor to build up from. Let There Be Light
Japanese Houses in general are designed around smaller individual rooms, which each serve a separate function. This makes for Darker, Smaller more Intimate Rooms which are easier to heat during the Cold of Winter. At Lenken Design we want to create a more Open and Sociable Layout which has good Flow and Functionality, but without the huge costs of Heating the larger spaces.
